I'm a huge fan of Charleston and the low country. I love to go throughout the year. Whether it's having a great meal in Downtown Charleston at Pearlz Oyster Bar (or any of the other great restaurants), visiting the local historic plantations, or just exploring the backroads, I love it all.
For photography, there are numerous locations to check out. Some of my favorites;
Magnolia Cemetery
Audubon Swamp (at Magnolia Gardens)
Middleton Place, Drayton Hall, or many of the historic homes downtown.
A cool place is Calhoun Mansion on Meeting St.
If you have time, you can explore further south;
Donnelly WMA
Bear Island
Beaufort SC
Hunting Island
Cool ruins at St. Helena Chapel of Ease or Fort Freemont (which was closed for repairs recently)
